With worldwide emissions regulations tightening there is a renewed challenge to produce more power whilst still improving engine efficiency. Engines are complex, with many moving parts – movement that can waste useful fuel energy through inefficiency. Withthese losses, power can be impacted. The challenge is to maintain the high performance levels expected by drivers,whilst engine technology adapts to meet the demanding legislative limits.
